Care and use
All our products are protected with hard oil wax in a matte finish. Oilwax
protects and penetrates deep into the wood, unlike varnishes, which only form a thick shell on the
the surface of the countertop.
The oil beautifully stains and highlights the color of the wood, while a thin layer of wax protects the surface from
absorption of liquids. Oiling protects the surface of the furniture from UV radiation, and makes it
that it becomes antistatic, which greatly reduces dust deposition.
A huge advantage of oil-wax is the fact that you can refresh your furniture yourself when there appear
minor scratches and abrasions, which is inevitable with normal use of the product.
Each piece of furniture requires re-oiling of the surface after a period of time. The period after which you should
to perform such treatment depends on the use of the product and the conditions in which it resides. For
household furniture it is usually once or twice a year.
Our furniture will serve you for years.
Just remember the simple 4 rules:
-
#1Use only a damp, clean microfiber cloth to clean the surface. Never use any chemicals, they destroy the protective coating of the wood.
-
#2During the heating season, do not place furniture near radiators/fireplaces. Wood does not like sudden temperature spikes.
-
#3Remember the oiling treatment. A layer of oil-wax will protect and refresh the surface of the of your furniture, and over time it will penetrate into the deeper parts of the wood, making them more resistant to mechanical damage.
-
#4Avoid placing hot, wet or cold objects directly on the surface of the furniture. Exposing a piece of furniture to prolonged contact with hot or cold objects, water or other liquids can leave marks or distortions on the wood surface.
