Protection and care

All of our products are protected with a hard oil-wax in a matte finish. The oleo-wax protects and penetrates deep into the wood unlike varnishes, which only form a thick shell on the surface of the countertop.

Oil beautifully stains and highlights the color of the wood, and a thin layer of wax protects the surface from absorbing liquids. Oiling protects the surface of the furniture from UV radiation, and makes it anti-static, which greatly reduces dust deposition.

A huge advantage of oil wax is that you can refresh your furniture yourself when minor scratches and abrasions appear, which is inevitable with normal use of the product. Every piece of furniture requires re-oiling of the surface after a period of time. The period after which such treatment should be performed depends on the use of the product and the conditions in which it resides. For home furniture, it is usually once or twice a year, while for products outdoors the oiling procedure should be carried out every 2-3 months.

Our furniture will serve you for years. Just remember the simple rules:
- Use only a damp cloth to clean the surface. Never use any chemicals!!! It destroys the protective coating of the wood.
- During the heating season, do not put furniture near radiators/ fireplaces. Wood does not like sudden jumps in temperature.
- Remember about the oiling treatment. A layer of oil-wax will protect and refresh the surface of your furniture anew, and over time it will penetrate into the deeper parts of the wood, which will make them more resistant to mechanical damage.
